Details and Fine Print

—not that we want any fine print, but it’s only fair to you!

  1. Check the  Estimated Response Time  at the top of the sidebar on this page to see if the-freelance-editor can work with your deadline.
  2. If that time limit works with your schedule, send your request.  Be as specific as possible in describing your need, your deadline, and your budget.  Include any draft text in question, a Web address, or whatever other information we might need.  (If you need to send an attachment, wait for one of our e-mails; you can then reply to one of them with the attached file.)
  3. You will receive an automatically generated reply to let you know your request has been received by the-freelance-editor.
  4. You will then be notified by a separate e-mail as soon as your request enters the actual work queue. At this time, we will either
    1. perform the work, or
    2. be in touch for more information.
  5. Upon completion of the work, you will receive a bill for the amount due. “Emergencies” generally cost from $20 to $50; any possibility of higher charges will be discussed in advance, as will jobs that have a potential for longer turnaround times. Payment will be appreciated as quickly as we perform your work!
